LITM Episode 72, Bucky Moorer

We sat down with Mr. Moorer, who's compassion will bring you to tears. His own words nearly brought him to tears. He is a very special man.
He is a US Navy Veteran, musician, cancer survivor, and a deer hunter. He is also a really funny guy. He is a proud member of the Rack and Spur Hunt Club, LLC.
Rack and Spur Hunt Club, LLC is a family friendly and safety-oriented hunting club located in Saluda County, South Carolina. At the moment, we have about 3300 acres of hunting land across 9 different tracts. There is a great mix of hardwood bottoms, cutovers, short pines, tall pines and food plots. We have plenty of box and tower stands that will comfortably seat a grown-up and a child as well as several stands that are wheel chair accessible. There's a place to skin your deer and properly dispose of the remains. Camper parking is available. The clubhouse has 14 bunks, two full bathrooms, washer and dryer, full kitchen, and a wood burning stove. But best of all, we have plenty of deer, turkey, and small game.

LITM Episode 71, Lori Wicker, Celebrate Freedom Foundation

Lori Wicker is the Executive Vice President, Director of STEM Education Outreach Program, and Director of Marketing.
Lori C. Wicker was born in 1974 at Moncrief Army Hospital at Fort Jackson, Columbia SC to a Korean War Veteran. She is the mother of 2 daughters and she is active in her community by volunteering with Future Business Leaders of America, Solider Angels, Special Olympic, Juvenile Diabetes Association, Girl Scouts of SC-Mountains to Midlands, American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, and the USO.
She is a graduate from Lexington High School/Lexington Technology Center in 1992. She received an Associates degree in Office System Technology from Midland Technical College, and a Bachelors degree in Human Resources with a Minor in Child Psychology form the University of South Carolina, Darla School of Business.
She did a 2-year work Study with Veterans Affairs (Lexington, SC office), worked as a Customer service advisor for Bellsouth/Pitney Bowes, and worked with SCE&G as a Small Business Customer Services representative and Energy Wise representative.
Besides being the Executive Vice President, Director of STEM Education Outreach Program and Director of Marketing, She also helps with recruiting volunteers, Managing the CFF’s Facebook page. As the STEM Director, she is responsible for connecting her volunteer team of Subject Matter Experts (mostly veterans) to travel to school’s across the Southeastern U.S. each year to provide valuable STEM Education topics.

LITM Episode 70, General (Ret.) John M. Lenti

A Patriot, a service member, and an amazing man.
John M. Lenti is the Chairman of the Celebrate Freedom Foundation.
Lenti received his engineering degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, MBA from Farleigh Dickinson University, and Masters in Military Art and Science from the Army Command and General Staff College. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College.
As a member of the staff and faculty at West Point for seven years, Lenti designed and taught leadership and related courses. As an adjunct faculty member of the Moore School Business, University of South Carolina, since 1976, he designed and now teaches a highly regarded leadership course.
Lenti received the Silver Star, Bronze Star with V for Valor, five Legions of Merit, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal with V for Valor and other awards for exceptional service. His military career included assignments in Special Operations, high level staff and as an instructor at West Point.
Lenti is past director of the S.C. Small Business Development Center Program, which coaches entrepreneurs in methodologies to turn a business idea into reality or enhance an already existing enterprise. He helped develop similar business assistance programs in Poland, Hungary and Germany for the Small Business Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives.
